Hey I’m Tomek.
I was born in 1988 in Poland, however I’ve been travelling and living in different places around the globe like the Netherlands, Falkland Islands, Colombia, Thailand and quite a few more over the past decade.
Currently, I settled down in a small village by the North Sea in the Netherlands.
I'm a marine biology graduate, but I also have a photo technician diploma behind my belt. I have been working as a research assistant and scientific fisheries observer, but also as a photographer shooting at various cultural events over the last several years. Said that I have to put cards on the table and confess that photography is my greatest passion and my camera is a constant and trusty companion during my ventures. I like to explore the world by looking for profound inter-connectivity among all living beings and understanding how our human element fits into this glorious picture.
As an experienced photographer, I believe that capturing the essence of a moment goes beyond technical perfection. It's about preserving the feeling, sensation, and a touch of magic that can be found in every scene. That's precisely why, alongside digital photography, I continue to embrace the use of analogue cameras. Through my work, I aim to share with you the sources of my inspiration and guide you through the stories I strive to create. Whether it's a single snap or a series of images, regardless of whether they evoke happiness or sadness, showcase beauty or ugliness, or present the bizarre or the ordinary, the ultimate goal is to allow you to experience and interpret them in your own unique way.
This is where the true power of photography lies - within its ability to convey emotions, stir memories, and create connections on a deep, subconscious level.
If you're interested in collaborating on a photography project, whether it be a session with your loved ones, a wedding, a shoot featuring your car, or any other creative endeavour, I would be thrilled to hear from you! I am always eager to step out of my comfort zone and explore new avenues in my craft. Feel free to reach out to me through my contact form to discuss rates, scheduling, and available dates.
Alternatively, if you are interested in purchasing prints of my photographs, I invite you to explore my collection. If you have a specific vision or need, I am more than happy to assist you in curating and designing a print that is tailored to your preferences.
I also published two zines with photos from my seatrips as a Fisheries Researcher called “Salty frames”. The second volume is still available, so if you wish to get a copy please get in touch.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I appreciate your support and look forward to the possibility of working together. Cheers!
